Here's a selection of the cinematic work I created for Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate.
These were all generated in Sketchbook Pro, then each element grouped up
to be later animated and given some much needed VOOOM by the
good folk at Armature studio.
Posted here working size.
In game these have been described as cool as well as undynamic and cheap and ugly.
Ah well.
I guess I shouldn't bother with reviews, they only make me question my choices.
All 350 frames of them.
I'll post up a couple of the concepts soon.

Whoa! These are really cool, man!
Awesome!
Don't listen to those idiots Calum, they wouldn't know what good art is if it drop kicked them in their stupid faces. These are brilliant.

Great work Calum. Forget the haters, your work is awesome and unique.
These are amazing! I'd buy a comic done like this. Reviewers are retarded.
These are amazing in my book!! Love your graphic sensibilities. Really elegant with a great read.
Great panels, mate.
WOW! Awesome!!!
These are amazing--if they made an animated series that looked like this, it would be come an instant classic. With there were more Catwoman stills : )
There's always gonna be haters no matter HOW GOOD it is. I for one think it is brilliant and badass. I boommarked this for inspiration.
undynamic????? but whom?? these are high ART my friend!!!!!
Astonishing work dude! Impressive, most impressive!!!
350 failures :)
Am I right? Am I right?
I love the style. However, the jail door in the second pic has a bar too few. Catwoman would easily pass through the spaces.
Nice work here, keep it up mate
Love this
Sweet artwork. If only the whole game looked like this!
So good I have put an article in my blog. http://art-of-the-game.com/motion-graphics-batman-arkham-origins-blackgate

So good I included it on my blog. (http://art-of-the-game.com/motion-graphics-batman-arkham-origins-blackgate). I hope that's okay with you.
Don't let the critics...I mean, crickets, get to you. I thought the frames were fantastic!
Anyhoo, I came to your site to say thank you for posting the video you did on your Sketchbook Pro brushes and settings. I learned a lot! Thanks ever so much! ;-)
